In this article, we will discuss what Chemistry Change and Matter are.When talking about Chemical Elements, we usually refer to the atomic number. The atoms of the chemical elements are arranged in a repeating pattern. The pattern is called an 'island'. This island has certain properties which allow it to exist as a unit and not be affected by other islands.The atom that we know as Oxygen is a good example of a repeating island. The repeating pattern is referred to as orbit. Other repeating islands are Hydrogen and Helium.The orbit is what allows the planet to have life on it. Without the right amount of oxygen, there would be no plants or animals to breathe. We are living proof of that!These patterns are actually what allow us to b uild complex organisms. In order for an organism to be a living thing, it must have a certain set of patterns that allows it to reproduce. Those patterns are referred to as chromosomes.Base pairs are groups of atoms that bind together when they are brought together. By changing one pair, we can change the pattern of the group. For example, if we put two A's together, we can create a C that we can bring together to form a U.The resulting molecule would be a carboxylic acid. In the case of mixing two carboxylic acids, we can combine them to form various gases. This gives us O2 and O3. It also gives us hydrocarbons which we used to make plastics.Changing base pairs is very basic process and we are all well aware of it. The key here is that we can modify the base pairs to change the appearance of the molecule. This is how we can create substances that we have never seen before!

If you havent heard yet, The Black Keys are taking the music industry by storm their newest album El Camino is out this week, and they put on an awesome performance on SNL over the weekend.   And the best part?   This is just pure, straight-up rock and roll.   With rock music suffering within the music industry, this may be just what the genre needs to rise to the top again. As for you guitarists out there: Although its possible to learn a few John Mayer jams on the guitar and not even touch a music theory book, there is one thing that will bring your playing from just ok to legendary.   And you already have all the tools you need for it: your ears!   If youd like to take your guitar playing to the next level, start working on ear training.   After all, music is all about what goes in your ear and youll notice it comes much easier when you recognize things like intervals, pitches and chords.   Once youve learned how to put what you hear in your head onto paper, the possibilities are endless. There are several ways to help with your aural skills here, Tom Hess over at MusicianTutorials.com, lists a few things to practice that will you help you along your way: 1. Turn on the radio and transcribe (figure out by ear) songs, chords, melodies, solos, etc. using your guitar. 2. Similar to above, try transcribing without using your instrument.   Write the music down on paper and then when you think you have it as close to accurate as you can get it, check your work with your guitar. Notice what errors you made and look to see if a pattern forms in your errors. For example, if you realize that you always think that minor chords sound like major chords, then you can see that this is something you will need to focus your practice time on. 3. Sing (yes, out loud) scales. Start with singing the major scale, later add the natural minor scale, harmonic minor scale, pentatonic scale, blues scale, etc. 4. Sing intervals. 5. Sing arpeggios start with major triads and then move on to minor triads. 6. Improvise melodies, solos, etc. over chords. This is great thing to do anyway. 7. Record yourself playing several different chords (just major and minor triads for now). Try not to repeat the same chord very often. Then, play back your recording and try to identify whether the chords you hear are major or minor. Just as your fingers need to learn the chords, your ear needs practice too so dont give up!   Pretty soon youll be able to pick out chords and intervals as youre listening to your favorite songs, which will make picking up the guitar and jamming that much easier.   While it may not be the most fun thing to work on, it will make you that well-rounded musician everyone hopes to be.   Want personalized training?   A private guitar teacher can always help.   Search for teachers near you here. It’s good experience to get out there and test the waters if you dont have much experience performing, recording, or making videos (especially if you live somewhere where those opportunities are difficult to find). With these websites, you can upload a video and have an immediate, brand-new audience right in front of you. Some singers may be shy performing live, but this is a way to get comfortable with putting your own voice out there and hearing the reactions you might receive. Cons Many of the people who rate these websites do not have formal vocal training. They may be able to offer you advice on presentation, performance, or song choice, but I would not upload a video to one of these sites looking for instruction on proper vocal technique. Many of these websites advertise “$1,000 Cash Prize” or “Instant Recording Contract”. Make sure you do your research before putting your music on one of these websites to make sure they are legitimate. If they are asking you to put down any money, I would not suggest doing so. Rather, spend your money on proper voice lessons with an instructor who can teach you about vocal technique and performance. So, all in all, I would recommend a rate my voice website if you are looking to grow a fan base, promote a video, network with other young singers, or get a feel for the general publics taste or critique in music. However, I would not use such sites for professional vocal training or guidance. If youre asking yourself, Am I a good singer?, I would recommend studying with a voice teacher who has had training in technique and who has professional performance credits to assist you in your own technique and performance skills. Just as if you were sick and thinking about seeing a doctor to diagnosis you, the same applies to singing! Remember, everyone has his or her own opinion, and you don’t have to listen to everyone’s advice. Still, be open, and remember that you, yourself, are the best judge of your vocal performance!
